Manuscript transfer agreement between EPL and other journals

EPL made an agreement of mutual transfer of manuscripts with Journal of Physics (J. Phys.), the European Physical Journal (EPJ), Classical and Quantum Gravity (CQG), Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (PPCF), Plasma Sources Science and Technology (PSST) and Physica Scripta.

This agreement enables a paper, which would be more suitable to another journal, to be transferred with the related material, keeping the original submission date.

The editorial transfer agreement respects the editorial independence of all journals involved in it.

Procedure:
Authors can only benefit from this agreement on the suggestion of the Co-Editor. The transfer is not automatic.
Their revised paper together with their reply to the referee(s) should formally be submitted to the journal to which they want the paper to be transferred, mentioning previous consideration by the first journal (giving its reference number).
The collaborating journals will then transfer the
submission date and the reports. On that basis, the Editor will either
make a decision or contact new referees for further judgement.
Remark: A paper can be transferred only once.
